Daily Circuit
At first light, BitPup checks the bank from stone to daisy. He records every cloud, tests the grass for nap quality, and keeps one ear assigned to lunch. The route is short. Inspection is not. By noon, the entire meadow has been officially sniffed.

Bank Rules
BitPup was given no uniform, no whistle, and no clear authority. Still, he sits where the water bends and watches the bright edge of the field. Pebbles may pass. Butterflies receive a nod. Ducks are questioned from a safe distance. When the work is done, he returns to the same patch of grass, turns around three times, and files the afternoon under good.
